Hibiscus Ink:
This handcrafted ink was made from the floral calyces of Hibiscus sabdariffa, also known as Sorrel, Roselle and Flor de Jamaica.

Hibiscus is a tropical shrub in the mallow family, related to okra and cotton. It's native to warm climates in the southern United States, Africa, Caribbean, India, China and Hawaii. Hibiscus has been used for thousands of years to treat a wide range of health imbalances in traditional African, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine. Its first usage dates back to Ancient Egypt and Sudan.

Though not edible, this ink contains all the magical abilities of this powerful plant! Ink is a safe non-toxic art material for creators of all ages. It serves as an ethical alternative to synthetic pigments and can be activated in painting, calligraphy and mixed media art. Allow your imagination to wander! Create an abstract masterpiece or a "Happy Birthday" card for a loved one.

Paint brush included. Every batch of ink is tested on watercolor paper. Color and consistency may vary. If kept stored in a cool dark place out of direct sunlight, it will last for 1-2 years.

Hibiscus Monograph Book:

This book contains comprehensive information about Hibiscus, including its history of medicinal usage, cultivation, health benefits, creative applications, mythological associations, recipes and personal stories. The monograph can be activated as an educational guide to help build deeper connection with Hibiscus through study and meditation.
